  • Since you feel like quoting things is conducive to proper discusion:

Is it legal for a business in the United States to refuse cash as a form of payment?

There is no federal statute mandating that a private business, a person, or an organization must accept currency or coins as payment for goods or services. Private businesses are free to develop their own policies on whether to accept cash unless there is a state law that says otherwise.

Section 31 U.S.C. 5103, entitled “Legal tender,” states: “United States coins and currency [including Federal Reserve notes and circulating notes of Federal Reserve Banks and national banks] are legal tender for all debts, public charges, taxes, and dues.” This statute means that all U.S. money as identified above is a valid and legal offer of payment for debts when tendered to a creditor.

  • I was recently looking for a job and all the Dunkins around me were hiring like crazy. Thing is though, they pay shit wages and everyone knows it, so the job ads had to be disguised. They were all under a parent company name and never had pay info listed. It wasn’t until you clicked the apply button that it took you to a site with Dunkin Donuts listed on it. If you have to trick people into working for you then I don’t trust you to make me something im putting in my body.

  • My mom recorded a video of me and my younger brother taking apart a bunch of different fireworks and trying to make a massive firework with it. (Ya know, after typing that out, it sounds kinds bad right? I swear she was a great mom) It ended up being a big dud but it brings me joy every year. So at least one person watches it (its me) most years.
