This is why I like GamePass. There’s a bunch of games on there that I probably wouldn’t play otherwise. And yeah, they’re not all great, but I’ve found some that I really enjoy.
As far as art style goes, I’m not sure to be honest. Based on the artist’s YouTube page of their drawing process, it seems akin to making something in Paint.
In general, I guess you could call it slice of life? iirc the “floor” is supposed to be on a spaceship, just showing the day to day activities.
It’s a pretty simple concept with a lot of references, but Floor796 is fun to browse around when I’m bored. There’s a few interactive bits too, if you can find them.
Every time I visit, I know where less and less places are, because they keep closing older places and opening new ones. It really doesn’t feel like my hometown anymore. Last time I wanted to visit the music shop where I would practice piano and have recitals, only to drive by to see that it had been closed for a couple years.
How bad is it that I was absolutely going to believe this until I saw the source.

This screenshot was from a while back, and it’s a little sparse these days as far as public games go, but it’s great fun when you get a one going. Or if you want to play virtually with just your friends you can create your own password protected game.
I did the same thing. It may have been because there weren’t as many dlcs and expansions, but it just felt really dull. Plus it didn’t have the completely open world like 3 did. Sitting through all those loading screens every time you wanted to go somewhere was a pain.
