I and my fiancee play Pandemic with our friends on occasion. We’ve played the game a lot and know how to do things, and our friends have basically never played it.

I low key hate it that my fiancee doesn’t let our friends do what they want. Instead, she keeps playing for them: “Ok you should go there and cure that one block and use that card to fly there so you (points next person) can trade that card to him next turn”. Our friends just have a blank state and go “ooohhookaay” and do it and have zero idea why.

I try to tell her that just let them play its fine if it is dumb decision, its fine if we lose. But she keeps doing it anyway! I always try to “beat her to the punch” and ask our friends what they want to do and if they don’t know maybe give few possibilities and let them decide and hope that my fiancee doesn’t interrupt lol.

Not just meat industry but to everyone even with a slight cold because doctors feel like they have to “do something” or the patient is unhappy and complains.

Yeah and we kinda need to start doing it soon. Because it might become a thing we have to do, and I’d rather we know how to do it and not just wing it.

Same as with anything that needs a collection of people to make a change. You just do it so that more people start to do it and at some point that number of people is large enough that it makes a dent. Or more likely, large enough that companies realise potential for profit and invest more into it, making a positive feedback loop.

Don’t know about the states, but in Finland the Burger King doesn’t use impossible patties but instead patties from the vegetarian butcher.

Though I guess if the product is called “impossible whopper” then it probably should be done with impossible patties.

Problem with this argument that you can justify all kinds of crap with this. Vandalising artwork? Its just paint, you’re valuing human life less than paint? Burning a few buildings? It’s just propety bro you’re valuing some planks over human life?

It kinda smells like the eu chat analysis law whatever where they’re pulling the classic “you’re valuing privacy over children?”. Though I guess they would frame it more like “you’re putting paedophiles over children?!”.

Quantum computers eh? Yeah that’s not even remotely true. Currently they are a scientific curiosity with very very little practical use.

Though to be fair, using dirty bombs or radioactive material has waaaaay larger “fear” factor than a random chemical that kills just as well.

Yeah, so problem isn’t phones. Problem is that teachers don’t have enough authority. If teachers cannot take away the phone, then just toss them out.

I feel like this “ban phones” is getting common but it does not fix the actual problem of teachers not being able to keep discipline in class.

Check Neo Store. It is an alternative front end to F-droid and has been way less buggy for me. Though to be fair just yesterday it ate up 20% of my battery life due to not being able to sync a repo (I think), but that hasn’t happened before.
