It’s been a while since I was into unlocking and ROMing my devices, but I’ve got the itch again.
XDA used to be a good place, but… I hope I’m out of there loop or something, because it’s almost a ghost town compared to years ago.
I’ve got us carrier unlocked devices; OnePlus N10 and N20, Moto G7Power.
GSI are dominant now, device specific Roms are rare these days.

I haven’t seen any third party GSIs. What have you seen (that I clearly lack the google-fu to find, lol)?

Since device manufacturers don’t support their hardware, Google has tried adding another layer of abstraction between hardware and the Android UI
Definitely not as big as it used to be. Lineage, Graphene, and Pixel Experience are just about the only players left. Graphene doesn’t officially support anything other than pixels actively supported by Google though.
I’d add DivestOS, a fork of Lineage
