In this current climate its only fair they fine them.

The job should have been tendered out so that all children could have applied.

Not a single leaflet in a school, not a newsagents posting, nothing.

    Sheer Nepotism!

Petite bourgeoisie fined for endangering a child and exploiting their labour for profit.

Being their son arguably makes it worse.

I’m not for forcing children to work but if you can’t safely use a knife or deep fryer at 14 I don’t have very much hope for you.

Which is also an acceptable ages tbh, the article really doesn’t say if he was pulling 8+ or even 4+ hours a day I’d be more against it.

Then you clearly have no qualms about child labour at all.

The children yearn for the mines trailer kitchens!

“No one considered Dexter in all of this. They prosecute us as parents for supporting our child to become someone with skills.”

There’s a shaved ice vendor we’re buddies with at the flea market. Their kid is a teen, so young I couldn’t tell he was a boy, maybe 14. He keeps all the profit, which is meager, for his college fund. Kid is motivated and hustles. What an awful thing to teach a child!
