How about instead of making nothing in the phone decent except the camera, we put more memory in the phones and make them usable for actual computing

These days phones have a lot of ram. It isn’t uncommon to see a 4gb phone.

Because that’s still very niche. Flagship phones have more than enough power for the vast majority of users and have done for years now. The cost/benefit analysis doesn’t add up
Better not develop anything for the platform that needs any real processing power then, let’s just keep phones as data harvesting tools and nothing more

I had a Galaxy S20 and the video recording was constantly choppy. I was very excited to get my Pixel 8 and the video is choppy. Am I just cursed or do these Android phones have a hard time with video?
You might be cursed. I’ve never noticed any choppy video and I was still on a pixel 4 until last week
Going to pile on, I have a Samsung A73 and videos are fine.
Do you use some sort of custom settings?
Video is amazing on my s22. And I’m picky since I work professionally in video.
