I guess that depends on the weather, and how much conversation I want with the other person.
I’ve had enough eating outdoors recently at a festival, so now it’s time to find a few people for a night on the couch with a movie. Doesn’t even have to be a good movie, I’m fine with making fun of a bad one while someone falls asleep on my shoulder.
Movie night. My aging body does much better sitting on sofas and recliners than it does the ground.
Even at a picnic table, I’m finding myself less tolerant of the bug swarms. I suppose that depends on the locale, though
My first date with the woman who is now my wife was a picnic followed by a movie. One’s a daytime activity, and the other is an evening activity - provided the prior goes well, following up with the latter is just keeping the party going.
