Just finished the game with my partner after about 7 hours
It’s beautiful, it’s funny, and I literally started crying when we finished the game because it’s just so… I’m not sure how to describe it
It’s like the feeling of being a kid again without the trap of nostalgia
A big open world filled with new things to explore and you’re doing it with your friends
I’m 100% genuine about this, it’s one of the best games i’ve ever played in the 40 odd years i’ve been alive
Looks cute!
It is!
It’s such an interesting thing too, the world itself is very much Australian outback, but all the puzzles and objects have a very toy-like design and structure
Does this work for couch co-op or with a side-by-side desk? Does it require headphones?
It’s separate systems, (my partner and I have two TVs and two Playstations) and you don’t need a headset, there is text chat, but it’s much like the voice chat in that it’s got limited range, to encourage the use of tools and gesturing to improvise
You also don’t have any matchmaking, it’s all about the host giving out their friend code and letting their friends into the game
Should we put a curtain between our monitors or something to prevent screen peeking? We have a side by side desk setup.
Depends on how serious you want to take the puzzles
My partner and I used the skip function on a few of the puzzles that we had a harder time with
The game doesn’t chastise you or take anything away for using the function, so it’s entirely up to you to figure out exactly how you want to approach it
I wish I knew enough people with PS5s to be able to play with people I know.
You have convinced me to play some goodslop
Everything I’ve seen about it seems wonderful. I’d say it’s probably game of the year that I’ll never play. Really glad they made it.
