    dark chocolate is all vegan so if you like that then great. if not, there are vegan milk chocolate replacements. like vegan cheese, they don’t melt/re-solidify/bake the same way that carnist cheese/chocolate does but chocolate doesn’t have the same myriad phase state changes as cheese in cooking so it doesn’t matter as much. you can buy vegan semi-sweet chocolate chips and use them in most anything

      I’ve certainly had some nice vegan chocolate (that’s not dark that is), IIRC, Whittaker’s Oat Milk choc hit the spot. But from my tastings, a good vegan “milk” chocolate is hard to come by.

      For me, I’d gone for dark choc prior to going vegan, so I just stick with that. If it’s dark enough, it’s almost certainly going to be vegan.

      A lot of US brands that make dark chocolate will often have milk in it. Traditionally it doesn’t but just wanted to mention that. Read them ingredients friends.
