Also totally nothing to do with people getting terrified of letting their kids on there as, they do more to get in the way of police stings arresting child predators, and do nothing to combat them themselves.

Luanti could be that. But it’s not very kid friendly. At least not yet.
The monetary aspect wouldn’t really pan out, if it’s open source and every transaction is P2P instead of through a verifiable centralized third party then it’s just going to get inundated with (more) scams.
A company losing a fuck load of money because its users aren’t making interesting games with their product, sounds like a massively stupid product right out of the gate lmao.

This is a really interesting topic because apparently all of the hit games produced on Roblox were just clones of hit games on steam in general.
The game is such an anomaly to me. Like the concept is neat, but everything else is shady and hokey.
You mean the company that profits off of ignoring groomers and pedos while also having a CEO that insists dating os a necessary edition has lost profit after being exposed for being evil? Parents are worried their kids may be being groomed so they refuse to let their kids on the platform and you are blaming the creators instead of yourselves?

You are forgetting number 4 which is already impacting the industry: people preferring to watch TikTok instead of playing games
