I’m so confused as to what… position?..is even being depicted here.

Looks like the rear of a later model SUV (think 80s Bronco). The person with their hands on the glass Is kneeling with the person whose back we can see is straddling them. Presumably, the add depicts the couple “parking” — making out (and more) in a parked vehicle.

What rear window had two wipers? I think we’re looking at the front windscreen

It wasn’t unheard of for some makes to do that on rear windows for less common models. I thought so too at first, but I don’t see the steering wheel and that window has a very vertical angle, too.

This is likely the front of a right hand steer vehicle. In the image, you can see that the photo was taken by Paul Abbit, Falmouth College of Arts. Not really much to work with to know the vehicle, or which game boy game they’re up to 😅

Nintendo needs to do FromSoft-like but within their wacky aesthetic - imagine Mario but Dark Souls

First of all, thank glob they don’t.

Second of all, thanks to rigorous adblocking and not watching TV I have actually only limited insight if that is true or not.

Are they sitting on the dash? I know some Japanese wagons had 2 rear wipers (the Toyota Camry did.)
