When the richest don’t have any income, and therefore don’t pay any income tax, it’s not ever going to be fair. They got that rich through exploitation of public goods and services and refuse to pay back in to the system that made them.
We must tax wealth as too many have ‘passive income’ in the form of unrealised gains on stocks which they never sell, they take loans out against their value and continuously buy more and more assets until there is nothing left.

I think properly taxing the financially obese is the answer. Obesity is harmful.
And by “properly” you actually mean unfairly.
They currently pay fuck all, they need to pay for more for it to be fair and proper.
When capitalism actually functioned, we had 70-90% tax on the ultrawealthy, now they pay a lower percentage than the middle class.
The ultra wealthy should be forced to pay back into the countries they do business in, or be forced to leave.
They are parasites.
The 1% pay more taxes than they bottom 50% combined. Probably closer to the bottom 75%
