It’s the point of the comment you replied to. I’m sorry if that’s not clear. Republicans are counting on the inaction of the left in the fall due to division.
Not at all. I’m very vocally against Biden’s support of Israel, as well as several other policies that I don’t agree with. I’m all for free speech, even for venomous people such as yourself. All I’m saying is that the division will coerce some to abstain, leading to a Trump victory.

Are you?
All I’m saying is that the division will coerce some to abstain, leading to a Trump victory.
And so everyone to your left must shut up immediately and permanently because otherwise they want Trump to win. I mean, that’s the practical upshot, isn’t it? If there’s any disagreement on anything at all, ever, it’s disunity and disunity means Trump will inevitably win in all cases, and how DARE anyone do that because Trump will win if they do.
It’s a convenient way for people who like what Biden’s doing to silence people who don’t. I get that you’re scared that Trump will win. So am I.
Even if genocide is your single favoritest thing in the world, it’s a losing issue. Biden must abandon his support for genocide if he wants to win.
I believe the US should only be supplying Iron Dome defensive munitions to Israel, and should be insisting on more thorough and conclusive investigations into the horrors occurring in Gaza and Rafah, as well as those occurring in Israel’s prisons and hospitals. I don’t trust Blinken, and I believe that Biden’s long-standing rapport with him has created too much trust.
I am anti-hate, in all forms. That means I will also defend anti-Zionist Israelis as well as the innocent Palestinians. You’ve made it a point to criticize my defense of Israelis before, without recognizing that they are not a homogenous nation of Zionists. I focus the blame of these atrocities squarely on Zionists and Hamas. I believe it is ignorant and nationalist to paint an entire nation of people as supporting one ideal. Just consider how Americans feel with Biden or Trump in office.
Again, I believe in freedom of speech. Just as you are free to say what you think, I am free to criticize it. I’m not telling you to shut up. When I believe you are wrong, like when you choose to label people without asking them of their own choice of label, I am exercising my right to disagree with you.
For example:
Your penchant for accusing people of loving and supporting genocide is both disgusting and juvenile, and completely discredits your potentially valid opinions on Lemmy. You should consider toning it down if you want people to take you seriously.
Or
The political spectrum is comprised of more than you, centrists, and Republicans. Consider cracking open a political science book before continuing to sound ignorant in political debates.

It took significant goading to get you here, and you still won’t call it the genocide it is.
You’ve made it a point to criticize my defense of Israelis before, without recognizing that they are not a homogenous nation of Zionists
I’m careful to refer to the genocide as Netanyahu’s genocide for this reason. Well, and I want to avoid bad faith accusations of antisemitism like yours.
When I believe you are wrong, like when you choose to label people without asking them of their own choice of label, I am exercising my right to disagree with you.
It’s neat how this exercise doesn’t also occur in the direction of people who accuse opponents of genocide of being bots, Russians, Trumpists, etc.
Your penchant for accusing people of loving and supporting genocide is both disgusting and juvenile
If someone reacts to “Biden should not support genocide” by calling me a trump supporter for saying so, as far as I’m concerned, that person doesn’t want Biden to stop supporting genocide. That’s genocide support.
I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve said I’m voting for Biden and that’s been ignored. I’m still voting for him. I still hope he wins.
And I still think that calls for silence in the face of genocide are support for genocide, and that the idea that opposition to genocide is support for trump is an excuse made by people who just don’t like criticism, not of Biden, but of genocide itself.

It’s neat how readily centrists accept genocide, yet how hostile they are to the concerns of the genocide-averse.

You are exhausting.
Then do something else.
They know.
