I don’t really understand the issue people have with this. Sure it doesn’t look like a particularly playable or fun game currently, but I do think it’s an interesting PoC that explores different uses for current “AI”. It’s an idea people may likely build on.
Let me tell you some of them:
- Energy use
- Lack of game state past 3 seconds (the number the paper cites)
- Energy use
- The impossibility of implementing game state past 3 seconds without investing oodles of hours of coding work.

I didn’t say it was a good game, I literally said it was an interesting PoC.
I understand the energy use objection though, how much energy did this use?
