You’re hundered percent right, except in our reality they set the system up where millions of us are one miss paycheck from homelessness. Not including tying medical care to employment. Hell lot people can barely feed themselves. They also have cut us off with social media and keep us from coming together. By time people be ready to rise up it will be late.
I honestly understand your situation… what I do not get is how you do not see that, as bad as your situation is today, it is just heading towards worse (that has been the clear trend since Reagan)
So you are being boiled alive, one degree at a time… in the 80’s, I understand how the effect was invisible or at least felt too distant… but today you are literally watching your neighbours slaughtered in the streets; your health care, bad as it is, is being removed from millions; your taxes going up for regular folks and gifted to billionaires… and STILL you do not act?
Because of a number of reasons: one, as mentioned was the precariousness of our financial situations. Combine that with how absolutely gigantic the US is it’s very hard to be able to coordinate a meaningful reaction that people would be confident enough to sacrifice for, individuals won’t give up their house on the hopes that others might join in with them, and lastly tied to my emphasis of meaningful, we’ve been conditioned to believe the only correct form of resistance is the absofuckinglutly worthless “no kings” style protest were we all get together and yell at empty buildings, giving those who attended a false sense of accomplishment. The Media plays their “wowzers X number of people attended” the administration laughs and gives the finger, and nothing happens.

Going take us All living on the street with nothing to lose then we can rise up. But by then it will be to late.
