We’re supposed to be policy 1st. And yet I don’t understand the obsession with being a honorable samurai that plays by tradition. Why can’t a sheep put on the wolf’s mane when they’re greatly outnumbered and bide their time?
It’s not like the liberals would notice. They only know ideas. They’re still propagandizing shit like recycling, even though the trash bin is all thrown in the same truck and the bins with 3/4 holes aren’t even separated, same as it was 20 years ago. They should be really easy to manipulate, especially when truth is on your side, but like at least make them paranoid and unable to sleep at night.
I was thinking more in terms of newer generations, the raise of anti-imperialist thought (but not necessarily a socialist one), cases like Greta I remember I used to dismiss her years ago, but she’s actually done serious praxis despite her past of being pro-capitalism.
I’m worried the youth, who spend increasing amount of time in online spaces, that many older gens still seem to dismiss, but those spaces are super toxic. And I know from personal experience it’s possible to get those people to touch grass, not by yelling at them, but by promoting more healthy behaviors and by bullying out the fascists. I often had to obscure facts when talking to them, couldn’t use words like socialism or communism when communicating, but what I did was promote healthy behaviors focused on self-improvement.
And there are even healthy ways to love a country, if loving it means critique and accountability or healthy ways to practice religion for those who find comfort in that, that’s like my big hopium I guess, can we have a scenario where instead of backstab the libs recognize we are the lesser evil and destroy the rightists with us, then we can focus on further radicalization.
But right now i think the absolute front of the matter is Imperialism, being anti-imperialist above all else, for the moment, being pro-live and let live policies.
We keep being fed news about the world ending, nothing we can do, it’s too late, people are hopeless, but the world hasn’t ended. Yeah there are some figures online primarily Hasan who try to convert people, but we need something better than that, a lot of the people I’ve approached actually don’t like to listen to figures like him, they see him as a hypocrite, because of his wealth, but they listen to me except I can only get so many people out there by myself. So I’ve been trying to find allies, but it’s really difficult.
I’m either too radical or not radical enough, but what I really want to do is pragmatically build material power to help save the world, together. I didn’t choose the world I was born in al I can really do is figure out how to mess with it, in hopefully such ways that socialism can be achieved.
