My landlord was complaining about them. One of my neighbor’s cats died and mine is next to me, may recovery be swift.

So, in case this helps anyone, later.

I had to sit with my shadow, the part of myself that wished retribution on my landlords, “justice” (which at some point means regaining emotional balance, and trusting that the universe abhors vacuums, so somewhere out there is the crone with 32 cats that only she can touch)…my own I’ll will that brought the bile to my throat and tears to my eyes…

And I had to remember if it’s not right it was done to me, it’s more wrong to hope someone does it to them, not only because they live their pets, but also the pets are the innocents that don’t deserve that, and would have no understanding of cruelty done to them, the same way as my sweet girl, or my remaining old guy.

And finally I had to recall personalities that do that are deeply traumatized and deeply disturbed. A black couple who made their fortune selling dope and the necessary acts that accompany that, because if you’re merciful with one, word gets around, and you can’t run a business being a chump. So there’s the epigenetics and multigenerational trauma issues of being of slave bloodline in the Deep South, coupled with patriarchy, with a heaping side of trauma from our capitalist economy and liberal government. Plus an unplanned first pregnancy in teen years and being related pew-jumping, missionary evangelical. Plus the one has shared with me how the step parent tied them to the bed and beat them with an electrical cord. It’s probably not far fetched to believe CSA was in the picture for one or both: what Daddy wants, Daddy gets, and if Daddy’s friends want it, Daddy’s friends will have it, either knowingly and covered up or subconsciously known, conscious denial because why would we knowingly allow what happened to ourselves to happen to our kids, but it does, and there’s simultaneously no way because we’re better than our abusers…

    Yeah.

Those feelings will arise again, and I’ll have to sit in them and feel them and forgive again for these same reasons. The only other option is get sick again because I’m one of the ones who turns anger inward. Turning it outward is a prison sentence, or becoming like that, or similar. Neither is good.

That’s messed up. I hope that monster is caught. People who torture animals move onto humans later sometimes. :(

Word on the street is that’s how they made money to attain their financial status. 🤷

    “someone in my neighborhood…”

“My landlord was complaining about them”

    hmm

I sincerely hope you kitty gets better. Landlords are demons, even if they didn’t poison your kitty. But I wouldn’t put it past them
