I completely think this is shitty, but if someone told me to “eat around” what I was severely allergic to, I wouldn’t eat. I would sue the fuck out of them afterwards, but I wouldn’t potentially kill myself.
I don’t think he was allergic to it, it says he choked on a piece of food. And if that’s the case, then he could have just as easily choked on the proper meal if he had gotten it.

I was just referring to me, not the article. If an airline did that I would not eat that meal, but choking on it is insult to injury.
