Sony WH-1000XM4 are the ones I use for work all day. They are occasionally on sale for like half their original $300 pricetag. The newer models are a bit fancier but they’re not so much better that they’re worth the additional price they charge for em.

Plantronics PLT Focus. You can get them cheap af because people lose the dock and you don’t need it.

The noise canceling is the best I’ve ever experienced. Not to say it’s the best of all time it’s just the best of the ones I’ve tried over the years.

e: I struck-out PLT because I’m not totally sure - I think I screwed that up. But at any rate the line is the “Focus” line. Ah frig… It’s these ones…

This is interesting, because back in my days as a member services rep on the phones, they gave us some new plantronics headsets at one point, and the audio was startlingly good! Like several coworkers and me were mentioning it to each other.

It’s kinda crazy hey! Plantronics is not really thought of as an “audio” brand but I can say without hyperbole, the audio quality is on-par with a wired pair of Bowers & Wilkins I have that retail for 600+

(I’d never pay that, I paid $4 and replaced the cable for free lol)

Likely because bad audio on a phone call can slow things down as the call taker/recipient tries to understand what the other is saying.

Plus people get pissed off when they have to repeat themselves multiple times.

So it ends up being cheaper to get good quality headsets so people stay “happier” and the employee can take more calls.
