    Likely because bad audio on a phone call can slow things down as the call taker/recipient tries to understand what the other is saying.

    Plus people get pissed off when they have to repeat themselves multiple times.

    So it ends up being cheaper to get good quality headsets so people stay “happier” and the employee can take more calls.
