From the Atlanta Daily World:

Photo: Getty Images A GOP lawmaker is facing backlash after referring to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre as a “DEI hire.” On Tuesday (July 2), Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert ® suggested that Jean-Pierre was only hired to fill a diversity quota. “I couldn’t care less about what @PressSec has to say today,” Boebert tweeted. … Continued

Do you say she’s not very good because you think she’s unqualified?

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karine_Jean-Pierre

It seems to me she has a well-developed resumé, she has held several key posts in Democratic campaigns before landing the Press Secretary gig. She appears to be objectively qualified for her job. Much more so than

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lauren_Boebert

Who owned a bunch of restaurants before running for office. Her main qualification semes to be that she talked some shit to an ex-member of the Cult of the Dead Cow. But the only vetting process she went through was an election.

I’m saying she’s not very good because of her many gaffs and avoidance of questions.

And why compare her to Boebert? Boebert is a shit stain who’s unqualified to work at a fruit stand, let alone be a congresswoman. You bring up her qualifications like you think it’s some new info.

I don’t understand how people think this type of deflection is worth anything. “You think this person is bad, well what about this other person who’s WORSE?!” Yea, that doesn’t make the first person better. This isn’t a fucking grade school popularity contest.

Boebert is the one calling her a DEI hire, meanwhile Jean-Pierre has a Masters degree from Columbia and years of relevant experience.

I know people with PhDs and decades of experience that are still shit at their jobs.

I haven’t watched any of the White House press events so I don’t know how good she is at her job, but just having a nice resume doesn’t mean shit.

So you haven’t observed any of her work as White House press Secretary, and the only argument that you can make against her is to invalidate her credentials and education? But hey, if they hired a woman that means that there must have been someone more qualified that they overlooked. There’s absolutely no way or any reason a black queer woman could ever get into that position on merit /s

That being said, I’m not saying that she shouldn’t be subject to criticism, but why not compare her performance to that of previous Democrat administrations?

I am not arguing against her. As I said, I’m not familiar with her performance. I have no opinion on that matter.

Yeah, totally unlike this very qualified white lady.
