Israel is starving Gaza as we speak. They are explicitly stating no Palestinian will make it out alive.
I protest. I get out on the street. I boycott. But it doesn’t improve these situation in the slightest. The rest of the world is looking and doing nothing. And I feel like losing hope a bit. Like, what can I do more? I don’t know anymore.
From my understanding, to stop the zionist entity, the US and Europe have to fall apart economically to the point that they are no longer able to materially support the entity. As a citizen of the global south, while protesting for Palestine, another possible action is to advocate for diversification away from the US regime. Within Mexico, this is starting to bear fruit and voices like mine are starting to grow stronger in the gov’t and the private sector. I am pretty sure plenty of people in the global south may have reached similar conclusions or even better ones.
All I know is that efforts to stop this genocide will bear fruit. Soon all of the material supporters of the zionist entity will face demise and nothing will stop the global resistance from finally saving our dear Palestinians. I wish there was a quicker way but the US and Europe chose to defend and interfere in favor of the entity.
True, but the only way for this to happen is for Europe to work together economically against the US, and to my mind China is the only viable option to replace the US as a economic partner. Of course this is a scary proposition for most Europeans, as the US works more or less openly with the threat of Russian invasion while simultaneously working to empower the local far-right policians in Europe, which will result in either them succeeding and Europe gleefully goose-stepping its way into an open war for the Nazis again, or them not-succeeding and possibly causing Europe to rip itself apart in political strife, which in turn could open the way for Russian subjugation. So basic fascist tactics, forcing a problem to appear and presenting itself as the only solution. In both these cases capitalist imperialism seems to be the victor.
No, it is not the only way for this to happen and saying this ignores the potential of a liberated global south from the clutches of the imperialists. For me, there are two options to face imperialist blockage to liberate Palestine while excluding the US perspective:
European comrades have to keep agitating to normalize relations with Russia and China. (Best case scenario even though unrealistic if Europe doesn’t free themselves from US control)
Global South comrades have to keep agitating to strengthen relations with Russia and China. Also agitate for FULL diversification from the US and Europe. (Most realistic scenario taking into consideration the material interests of the global south. This will take time)
The second option will choke out and make difficult the material support for the zionist entity. Europe as well as the USA depend on imperialism and the pillage of the global south to sustain most of their barbaric violence done around the world.
This might actually be my personal blindness, as I’ve lived all my life in a country whose entire raison d’être is being anti-Russia and all my life I’ve been taught nothing else; like “evil imperial Russia took us from the loving embrace of our former slave masters, and subjugated us for a 100+ years, until we broke the chains of their imperialism to adhere to another kind of imperialism. Also communism is bad, remember 1939-45?” type of shit. So I’m kinda hesitant to trust Russia in order to fight America. Or at least I would be sure to be ready to fight Russians off as well later.
