I think non-human animals can be traded as commodities in every AES right? I dont know much about non-human animal rights in any AES but it wouldn’t surprise me if they have it as bad there as they have it here. Solidarity with all animals is not as popular since its not particularly useful for a revolution, and abolishing their slavery could even be counterrevolutionary since a lot of humans still rely on their oppression for their livelihood.
Its not easy to frame animal solidarity as something thats necessary for us since the core argument is that its an inherently good thing to do, which is why I think there are more vegan anarchists than MLs, or rather why vegan circles tend to be more anarchist dominated than MLs. There are lots of reasons how animal solidarity is beneficial for us, but the benefits are not immediate, usually even very very longterm and reality might dictate higher priorities for the short term.
