Surely there are many ways to live an unethical life and still be vegan, but there is no way to live a morally-based life without it. You cannot even think rationally and morally about other individuals with your empathy crippled by the psychological needs of carnism. It’s not just an ethical contradiction, it’s psychologically impossible.
