I know, not all omnis. But this is based on personal experience.
I mean, this is kinda part of why there are almost zero rebuplican vegans. There’s big overlap of people who don’t empathise with people and people who don’t empathise with animal.
Oh absolutely. It’s just that the opposite is frustratingly common: people who care about fair treatment, bodily autonomy, etc but aren’t vegan. It’s heart breaking to know a bunch of their reasons for that describe me as well.
Most people I’ve met like that seem to either say “I don’t want to think about it so I’m not going to” or “yeah I probably should…” Most actual change I’ve gotten is just saying “if going vegan is too much, just try eating a little less meat, and try to avoid beef and pork” since that’s an easy path forward
