The vast majority of his supported will just wave it away as “persecution!” And his team will just drag it through the appeals courts all the way up to the US supreme Court, which in their flagrantly bias wisdom will just dismiss the charges for him.

That would be awesome. He should totally go for it: claim the court isn’t legitimate or binding or whatever, and just try to ignore it.
From what I understand, there’s nothing preventing him from running, or even winning, or even serving time while being president.
Politics aside, it’d be funny as shit if secret service had to undergo special training with shivs to protect him from prison gangs.
