It’s intentional afaik, this move is primarily motivated by spite. “Oh, you’re banning the Singaporean app for being hostile state media? Ok we’ll go to actual hostile state media then”

the fediverse is great, you can switch your account away from instances that do not align with your viewpoints or otherwise do not serve you.
If you do that, though, redditors that forgot what service they’re on will judge you
Idk man, I’ve had to switch instances once or twice, but i stick around each time mostly because I don’t have to constantly spin up alts to evade bans and continue spreading paid propaganda. And don’t immediately start dumping very suspicious comments immediately after making an account.
Not a ban evade, not propaganda. And you’re not on reddit. Please remember that. More importantly, I’m glad you found that you hated the US government, all governments really, and would like to dismantle capitalism in favor of mutual aid networks and found the right instance for all that early.

That’s not criticism. Criticism would be, since the US tortures and kills more civilians in war than any other modern combatant force, as proven repeatedly by whistleblowers and leaks, the US is not a moral army and shouldn’t be allowed to operate a global military network that seems to solely exist to destabilize the global south and ensure white supremacy remains the default mode of thinking.
That’ll get you banned on Twitter, that gets you shadow banned on bluesky, that’ll get you ip banned on reddit, and will get you demonetized on YouTube.
