I was listening to people calling in to an evangelical Christian radio program last night (on WWCR out of Nashville). They were discussing Venezuela and we’re all excited about how China and Russia are supposedly shipping all kinds of weapons, missiles and WMDs into Venezuela. This is apparently yet another bullshit narrative that is metastasizing in the ass-end of our removed country, to manufacture consent for invading. I’ve not heard this mentioned in any of the more mainstream media propaganda outlets, but I’m sure it will be there soon.

Fascists will always contrive some arbitrary rationalization to do whatever the fuck they want to do with you. They have no allegiance to truth, logic or consistency.

Wait, wait, wait. Naturalized citizens are legal citizens. I’m pretty sure that they and every thumb I argue with on Nextdoor has told me that all of this is just about enforcing laws. Goodness gracious, I’m starting to suspect that they are lying.

There’s an important lessons to be had from the way the president, his administration, and the assortment of corrupt media supporters are flailing around right now. That lesson is the absolute lie that is “meritocracy” that they all are so desperate to have you believe in. These people aren’t smart, talented or deserving of the powers they’ve managed to seize. They’re largely dumbfucks that have slid down tracks of privilege into these positions. I don’t mean to downplay the danger that they pose. They have means for incredible amounts of destruction.

I simple don’t understand why anyone buys the sentiment that you are an expressing here. The unfortunate truth is that, in every substantive way, it is true that the two parties are in lock step. I am aware that Democrats will sometimes use rhetoric that implies that they have more enlightened positions on some issues. However, it’s not credible when they consistently cave, pre-compromise, and shift rightward at nearly every opportunity. I’ve been observing the party, from within and without for 40 years. I’ve come to the conclusion that as an organization, the party as currently organized, has NOT A SINGLE principled stand on any policies whatsoever. Let me be explicit: there is no issue on which Democrats organizationally are not willing to compromise or flip on including: abortion, civil rights, democracy, and so on. They are a loose conglomerate of self-interested corporate sell outs, period. Are there a few individual exceptions, of course. But as a collective, the party is trash, and they are the reason that fascism has been allowed to progress in this country for decades.

What is needed is a wholesale reconstruction of that party. Replace nearly everyone in power and completely reject corporate funding. BTW, accomplishing that involves two things: 1.) voting, and 2.) rejecting the voices that demand that we lower our standards for short term political expediency.
