I grew up a in a Salafi-like environment. Yes we consider Sufis as heretics. But actually there are may Sufis where I live. They’re generally more silent compared to Salafis who talk nonsense a lot.

I’ve heard the same thing (that Muhammad is the light of which everything else is created) coming from a Sufi public figure where I live.
