Now, I’m wondering whether there’s collaborative art projects out there that use git. It’d be hard for raster images as git just stores them as blobs (not preserving layers, brush strokes, etc) but I could see it working using it a vector format like .svg. It’s just text so after all so you could do diffs.

Your art style is intriguing. Do you start with the dialog/story first and then draw the pictures to accommodate the words? Or the other way around? A mixed of both perhaps?

Is the white ink completely opaque? I usually use chalk markers for white highlights on fine liner and ink art but they don’t completely cover dark areas. That can lead to interesting optical mixes in itself but I wouldn’t mind having an option that just overwrites with pure white.

This has great potential for a meme format. Just replace the beers with any object of desire.

Yeah, the illusion looks quite good from afar (eg the thumbnail for the post) but full screen I noticed that many of the strokes emulating leaves at the contours of the tree end with straight edges perpendicular to the branch rather than being more rounded or have some noise that breaks up the straight lines.
