4 months agoSo it’s the coating, and that fruits labeled organic (at least in US?) don’t use animal derived coatings. I think Whole Foods mentions what wax they use, but when I shop other places I guess I gotta lean organic just in case. Bummer

I can’t read most of the article due to paywall, but I thought many dried fruits had sulfur something something in them to preserve color. I wonder if this is just an extreme version of that
