1·5 days agoNo, it’s about eliminating those.
Edit: Not sure why the downvotes. It’s pretty clear that this would remove the twice-yearly changes.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Will the next president of America have to do a world wide apology tour for this administration? Kind of like celebs do when they get their ass in a sling.
8·6 days agoAn apology tour would be nice, but probably not terribly effective. Realistically, it will take at least a decade before the rest of the world will be able to start trusting the US again. We’ll need to see that they’ve learned their lesson and made the necessary changes such that the next few elections result in administrations that are trustworthy, and that they don’t just flip-flop back again after a president or two.

12·6 days agoIt isn’t what I would call “common”, but it happens: Suicide by aircraft
Most of those are the pilot crashing alone, but there have been some high-profile crashes of commercial flights that have either been confirmed or are strongly suspected to have been intentional, like EgyptAir 990, Germanwings 9525, and SilkAir 185. The mysteriously missing MH370 was also likely an intentional act.

39·21 days agoIt would be great to get an answer to that, but:
On Wednesday, the federal judge overseeing a lawsuit against the president’s attempts to rename the iconic performing arts venue after himself ordered the Kennedy Center to “indicate the purpose for and status of the tarp and scaffolding” by July 31.
Seriously? Why give them over a month to answer such a simple question?
