Why is it tone-deaf?

It’s not that I have something to hide. It’s that it’s none of your business!
Car making without the tracking bullshit!
It’s all about selling the idea that you can do away with meat if you’re a meat lover. For a lot of them, that’s not going to happen by just saying “hey eat vegan food!”
But if you say “yo, taste this burger - whadayathink? I know right?!! Can you believe it’s not made out of cow?!” Then maybe, maybe, the dude will say “you know what? For my next bbq Imma use impossi-burgers - damn tasty those thingies!”
God I hate that c word.
He wrote it in a tongue-in-cheek article.
I don’t like the guy, but I read the article and I chuckled a couple of times.

As opposed to what, robot women?
(All women are human.)
Technically, yes. But the article already mentioned the amount of effort for the brute force to succeed (that is, practically never, if the phrase is truly random.)

No, come to think of it, you’re right. I was thinking of communities that ban people in droves, but they still have a lot of members.
But the keyword in your comment is “enough.” So, yup, again in theory, if they ban 99% of the whole Fediverse, they won’t be the biggest community in it.
Thanks for the history lesson. I didn’t really know lemmy.ml was the first Lemmy instance.
But what would you have me do, stick my head in the sand and ignore what my government it’s doing? Ignore the growing control and power the rich capitalist ruling class have over us all year by year?
Believe it or not, yes. You can do this. You can still stay informed. Just don’t be online 7 days a week. Fight off that FOMO feeling.
Nope. Not irony. It’s a community self-reflection meta post.
works out pretty well*
