I’m an anarchocommunist, all states are evil.

Your local herpetology guy.

Feel free to AMA about picking a pet/reptiles in general, I have a lot of recommendations for that!

  • none of those issues work because there is a whitelist of specific terms instead of a blacklist

-1 cannot be selected, a lizard isn’t on the list of inputs, and my point with the sql is that this isn’t a huge attack vector like an input field on a website, this is a dropdown list, essentially.

i challenge you to come up with one relevant attack that isn’t order too much of a thing or order conflicting modifications (note of course the modifications are also essentially read from a dropdown list)

everyone here seems to believe that the input field paradigm is not solveable when the inputs are fixed, that isn’t true.

  • i’m studying to be a herpetologist, some corrections here:

    1. pythons do not have reticulated teeth, that doesn’t make sense, you probably thought this because a reticulated python is one of the largest snakes that exist, reticulated means gridlike
    2. they can absolutely release their jaws, experienced keepers keep some alcohol around, they’ll release instantly at the smell of it, usually (lpt)
    3. Not that they don’t form attachments the way some mammals do but snakes and alligators are very VERY distantly related and their asociality has nothing to do with eachother, emerald tree skinks for example do seem to form a mammalian style bond as do tegus, this is not an all reptiles are one way and all mammals are the other, the same thing would happen with a tiger, or a bear.
    4. Snakes do not unhinge their jaws, they have an unfused bottom jaw that lets them walk things down their throat

i dunno what you expect from a hungry carnivore, even dogs do this, and are honestly way more dangerous than we like to pretend.
