Remap it to R1 and you can just hold it down and fire with R2, assuming you can claw grip it. If not, try R3. Its not really the end of the world but, unfortunately, the alt-fire really unlocks the potential of several of the weapons. The alt on the repeater basically means you can just spam fire the entire time and then just run around avoiding things. Its really awesome.

Have you looked into the various weapon perks? Once I learned about a few of them I was way better at tailoring my weapon choice selections and it made the game MUCH easier. Power Generator FTW!!!

Yeah parry sucks. Its only really good for long range to clear the red out of your path for movement. Up close its worthless.

They did a really shitty job of explaining the weapons and damage stats in the game. Don’t give up on the shotgun. The key with them isn’t necessarily damage its stun. Once you get the yellow strike ability, you can basically auto-grapple to stunned enemies and punch the shit out of them. The alt-fire’s on a few of the shotguns are better than the standard fire, which sucks. They really needed to send this back into the oven and bake it for a few more months to straighten these bugs out.

I’m amazed that you don’t like the crossbow. The repeater crossbow alt-fire is the best weapon in the game bar none.

Its my first AC game so I’m just kind of playing it as an open world viking rpg. I’ve read online people spend 150+ hours on it getting to 100%. I’m nowhere near that psychotic, but it should provide entertainment for a month or two.

Dying Light 2 lasted about 10 minutes before I decided that sucked, so in my effort to clear out my PSPlus backlog, I picked up Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. I’m about 10 hours in so far and its pretty good. Not sure why this got so much hate.

Apparently, it was a buggy mess when it first came out. I just played it last month when it came out on PSPlus and it crashed on me about 55 different times, so imagine how shitty it was when it was first released…

Yeah getting used to using the shield took me a good long while.

Was going to start Blasphemous 2 but they’ve decided to release Dying Light 2 on PS Plus so I’m holding off on playing that. Tried to play Kingdom Come Deliverance and it feels SOOOOOOOO old. People say it holds up but I don’t know.

I finished Saros so if you need any help with it let me know. You can always use the modifiers to make things easier. I kept a few on permanently to keep things from getting even more overly annoying. The real key is to keep making forward progress so you can unlock the abilities and additional weapons that the story provides. Sadly, its not as good as Returnal, but its pretty close. The story is better but the gameplay and fundamentals aren’t as fleshed out as they should be. I’m holding onto my copy in hopes of a DLC.

Finally got some time to play Saros. This game is so fucking cool.

Up to the third biome now and this boss is severely kicking my ass. He keeps jumping on me.
