Is there a problem with Ledger or is it just too expensive? They’re French and I can’t think of another European wallet company off the top of my head

You can just return them. They don’t check how much is left.
The thought of doing something, I’m assuming it’s a typo.

Not in all circles, unfortunately.

Definitely asshole at the very least

I use it sometimes to make sure I stop a hyperfocus I don’t want to have. Of course I generally then ignore the alarm but sometimes it helps!

It means that you can’t move. There are many cases where people sell their houses, either out of want (they’re moving somewhere else), or necessity (they can’t afford the upkeep or really need the money right now, etc.)
If you take out a mortgage, you should be able to afford it with your income,
True. But income changes with time and it doesn’t always go up.
Negative equity means someone who lost their job can’t sell their house and get enough money to support them and get a smaller house. It’s bad because real estate is supposed to be the most reliable investment: it’s a plan B (and usually more of a plan C) and if that fails, people may have nothing left at all.

I prefer to support smaller instances, but don’t have a problem with lemmy.ml specifically (whereas I do sometimes go out of my way to avoid lemmy.world)

I believe someone had asked for it and they said it was nearly impossible. You’d be able to do it in a single given app maybe, but the « download an episode by default » system, the (wonderful) variety of podcasting apps, and the variety of podcast ad services all make it nearly impossible. It’s somewhere in the issues!

This extension really changed my life, or at least my fraught relationship with YouTube!
Depression can worsen or mimic ADHD symptoms and it’s common to tackle that first. The ADHD diagnosis is irrelevant, what matters is that your life gets better. :)

Being emotionally detached from really stupid leadership decisions is harder than it seems

It’s not supposed to be. It doesn’t jam endless recommendations in your feed once you’ve gotten at the end of the new, fresh content. I feel like it’s a feature, not a bug, to have platforms that don’t optimise for time spent on them, because they don’t need our attention to show us ads.

try to cure your burnout by waking up and starting work at 6am and passing out at 2am every single day for the rest of your life
