Mainly stability for me. I don’t have to worry about my system breaking because I can easily rollback to a previous version on the grub menu, then I can pin a working image and/or rollback to multiple versions behind if I need it for whatever reason. I also don’t need to worry about updating because Bazzite just updates in the background and applies it on reboot/shutdown.

Oh cool, I just watched the extended look and honestly I liked it a lot. Some parts were too much like GTA 5 for me, but other than that I really liked it, the few stuff I saw from the leaks made me worried before. Still not fucking worth $80-100 dollars, but at least I’m interested now.

Maybe it’s just my bubble, but I haven’t seen this, rather the opposite, people very skeptical of both these games. I sure am, Wolverine just looks like another generic cinematic Playstation game, and GTA 6 I still have to see the extended look, but by the leaks I was already disappointed because I expected it to be at least a little bit different given the absurd hype around it.

The fastfetch config might be in their github somewhere. I have searched how to do this on fastfetch, but I didn’t have much luck, there is a repo on github about doing that on arch, but I didn’t find where were the colors they were using.

I’ve seen that one mentioned, but I didn’t go looking for it yet. I think PlasmaZones has scrolling too if I’m not mistaken.

I’ll take a look into it with a VM then. I also decided to look around into what is used for tiling on KDE right now, last time I tried it the big one was Bismuth which had a cool ass logo, but seems like nowadays the 2 options are Polonium and Krohnkite. There’s also one that takes inspiration from Niri stuff, called PlasmaZones, but it is not auto tiling.

I’m a KDE girl but this is pretty cool! I heard of Niri before but never seen much of it outside r/unixporn.

I’m not gonna lie, I do have the urge to try out some form of tiling WM, but every time I tried tiling capabilities, I have found it confusing and had to keep excluding apps from floating here and there. If anyone has any tips for this, I’m willing to test it on KDE so I can finally get what the appeal is.

Also I love how these tiling WM desktops looks like, but I find it daunting to do this level of customization that so many do, I wish I had the patience. Maybe I’ll try zirconium on a VM to see how it is.

I’ll be voting for Samara Martins from UP. I have issues with UP, from their amateurism when it comes to elections, to their very sectarian position online, the countless issues I’ve seen their members talking about online and their line on China where they call China imperialist somehow, but she looks like the best actual radical leftist candidate there. Another valid one I think is Hertz Dias from PSTU, I haven’t searched much about him yet and I don’t like that PSTU is a Trot organization, but it’s not exactly the time to care about that and neither of them is gonna be elected anyway, the first turn is a vote for ideological affirmation, and showing that there’s is a demand for more radical change is paramount as propaganda for us.

For everything else I’m voting for everyone I can from the Bancada da Esquerda Radical, but in my state they haven’t announced people for all the positions yet.

Yeah that one but the PC version, which is actually a completely different game, I actually still have the CD for it and played a bit a year or two ago lol.

The only game I remember being scared by was the ending of the first Harry Potter, I don’t know why but fighting that professor with Voldemort on the back of his head always gave me the creeps. As a kid I was easily scared so I guess it’s not that big of a stretch.

But one thing that never made sense is that some games made me physically ill, I still don’t know why, it wasn’t motion sickness or anything of that, I just felt extremely weird and uncomfortable while playing, the two I remember the most was a Shrek game and a NBA 2K game I think, I don’t remember if both were on the 360, but just super weird experience.

EDIT: Actually just remembered another one I was scared by. I had a CD with a bunch of game demos and one of them I think was Time Commando. I think there was a tiger that tries to kill you at some point in that demo and I just shat my pants any time it appeared on screen, I literally could not do anything from that point forward because of how scared I was of that tiger.

Yeah I agree with that, that’s something that the author of the article does need to take into consideration. It’s not some minor thing that can be an afterthought.

But there is also a massive disconnect between the natural resources actually available to Brazil and Brazilians’ sense of ‘destiny’. Brazilians believe that Brazil, if well administered, would necessarily be a wealthy and powerful country. That has never been the case.

Because the issue is not it being well administered, but rather of having an actual industrial and national policy for development. We weren’t “well administered” under the brutal military dictatorship, yet we had a national industry.

In reality, Brazil spent the second industrial revolution with poor demographics, poor geographic distribution and no real mineral coal reserves with which to make steel. It spent the third industrial revolution looking for oil everywhere and failing to make real headways until the 21st century because the continental shelf of Brazil has nothing like the american Permian. Petrobrás was more of a refining company than an actual oil company for most of its history for a reason. Brazil was a historically agricultural country that wasn’t self sufficient in actual food stuffs due to climate and the disparate nature of its islands of natural fertility. That Brazil is even a net food exporter today is a matter of state policy and subsidies, not, as nationalist romanticism might term it, ‘destiny’.

Okay so this is where a huge gap in my knowledge comes in so I can’t properly comment on any of that. My only issue here is that you are not presenting the reason for each of these things, making it seem like the issue is with Brazil itself. I could very well be misinterpreting your point here, so please call me out on that if that’s the case. It’s important to understand these things historically, but if those things are not issues anymore, because like you said, there was a great deal of effort, labor and state policy, than there’s is no excuse to keep us deindustrialized and subservient to the imperial core if not by an imposed policy by said core.

Yeah this is a huge problem, we cannot afford open confrontation with the empire. In fact, it’s election year and there is a genuine fear of the US interfering in one way or another. I could be wrong because there are gaps in my knowledge, but as far as I’ve seen talked about, the issue is not the amount of natural resources we have, but rather that we are a deindustrialized country that is subservient to foreign capital. We have the natural resources and capacity to have our own industry and to be self-reliable and self-sustainable even, the issue is the lack of a national project that is truly sovereign.

Which is not to say we couldn’t and shouldn’t be doing more to help Cuba, we can and should. That being said MST has sent 7.6 tons of medication to Cuba which should be more than enough to make the current government ashamed, yet here we are.

If you’re interested in it after playing the network test, soulsborne games are great. If you want the one which is gonna have the closest feel to Duskbloods, Elden Ring is what you want. Or if the aesthetic of Duskbloods is more of your style, there’s Bloodborne, you can even emulate it pretty well right now. But you could probably start in any From game and it would be good to be honest.

I haven’t been playing much this week, my head has been kinda of scrambly after coming out here in the funny hexagonal bear site and more recently to a friend (it went very well, yay!!). But I have played a bit of Isaac with a friend on his second save, I played a bit of Hades and did a little bit of training with Marisa on SF6, I trained a pretty cool 7k dmg combo off of a Punish Counter on the corner with lvl 3 and full drive, but haven’t played since then and that was in the middle of the week.

That would be cool! I haven’t played Hytale in a while, but I loved what I played and it would be nice to have a Hexbear server.
