Continous habitation from neolithic to iron ages isn’t even unprecedented, hell there are places that are inhabited continously from neolithic to today, like Damascus. Not even the article offers explanation for that sensationalist headline.
I thought you people constantly yap about not liking echo chambers. Those numbers are way higher, idk the source but the war in Afghanistan took 20 years, Libya is still in shambles, and Yugoslavia got part of it ethnically cleansed. Maybe except Yugoslavians even x1000 those numbers would still be massive undercount.
