if i elect an average right wing conservative (which is redundant) and they go on to do bad things, which is practically guaranteed, I would not feel better.

but what happens if you vote for someone and they end up winning?
someone is paying for organized propaganda operations on Lemmy which honestly is a little surprising to me but seems to indicate that it has an impact on elections to some extent, so maybe me doing work to debunk it is worthwhile, too
is there any proof of this at all?
it was a bad amendment.
I have no idea if you are a shill or a genuine person. But, there are some behaviors that are bad things to do regardless of which you are:
Recasting your opponents’ views as other ones that make less sense and are easier to argue against, consistently, as a way of muddling the discourse, instead of being honest about what you’re saying and what you are disagreeing with and why, and just letting your point of view speak for itself whether or not I personally would agree with it
oh my fuck. this is gold. screenshot, archive.org, federate. put it on a tshirt. use it as a new isntance url.
These are the only two proven methods to work. Third parties, Independents do not work until the system changes
the prohibition party got a constitutional amendment passed.
no, they are just livestock
I’m not over here trying to argue you out of consequentialism. there is absolutely no way you’re going to argue a degreed philosopher out of deontology (today. you could learn, maybe)
but write in candidates can win. McDonald’s menu options are disanalogous to voting.
the ethics are in the action itself. yes.
I thought we were talking about counting votes the whole time. I’m not interested in helping you with your mental gymnastics routine.
it’s not a pun. there is no pun at all. you’re lying about how votes are counted.
but the ethics can’t be in what they do in the future. the ethics of the action are in the vote itself, and the only information yo uhave is about the past.
but it doesn’t. it isn’t counted at all. this is mental gymnastics that leads to actual election misinformation. stop.
no? it’s knowing what they’ve said and done in the past
this is a thought terminating cliche. it doesn’t rebuttal what I said or develop your position.
you still haven’t shown how to give half a vote
Israel props them up
