I think I forgot to mention in the original post that this is for a Fire Emblem romhack I’m working on, so that’s why I reference FE in the post and in this response.

Yeah I consider the names to be in beta and open to future change. I thought “isn’t that place from FE: Path of Radiance called Crimea?” and just stole a name from the real world.

what does this mean? duckduckgo did not explain it Fire Emblem 7 was a prequel to Fire Emblem 6, so it not only decided to do almost no world-building, but it rewrote established lore from FE6.

So this, to me, sounds like an allegory of when centralised monotheism replaced anarchic polytheism, am I right? It did happen similarly to that. In this case though, the god is not only a false god, but a physical presence.

The Divine is only aware of what it can actually see or hear. This is because, despite its power and long lifespan, it is not really a god. It can provide power to others, but this power has a source other than the Divine itself.

I’m still thinking on where exactly the Divine might have come from, but I am sure that it is not native to the continent.
