I think is very different paying for building a society more complex than what we can understand and 10 million deaths by lead poisoning because some rich family preferred even more money over the life of everyone else. “IA” have very few applications besides faking things. It fakes someone having read that mail, it fakes having wrote that mail, it fakes art, it fakes “helping you”, it instead do fake job for you.

It’s the “IA” spite can look too spiteful, but there’s a key difference I think between “IA” and actually useful technologies: A computer helps you do things, not only work, better and faster, “IA” do it for you. A more relevant measure is “Natural change”, it measure people death vs people birth not counting immigration:

India has +13 millions. Japan has -870k. China has -2 millions.

South Korea is “only” losing -77k people per year.

There are like 30~ countries that have negative population per year out of 197. Birthrates and fertility rate are going down each year, but not every country is losing population by it.

That’s is what I’m most afraid. I feel like seeing the “freak” in the mirror will be the straw that breaks me. I don’t know if I could take seeing the “maybe” turn into a very soundly “no”. Honestly, just do whatever you can do that let you sleep well at night. It’s all most people can do. Maybe we can’t stop these things, but eventually we all die, even those in power. What we can do is not being part of the problem and teach those who come after the same in hopes that in the future (if there’s one) there will be more good people than bad.

Just keep your conscience clean in hope that the next generation get inspired by that.

Some people think that if an individual from a collective laugh then it’s fair game. If a trans person laugh or says the same “joke” then its okay despite being offensive to everyone else, since they have that one endorsement then it’s fair and everyone else is just being “too sensitive”.

I love that joke since the Venn Diagram between Furry->Software Dev/IT<-Trans is pretty interesting, but that is a fun observation, we all laugh.

When the “joke” is repeating, for example, “Oh no Furry, what are you doing with my dog!?!” it stop being a joke and it becomes just target harassment, I think.

I’m more worry that it won’t make me feel good about and at home in my body. It would mean to lose the last hope.

Lived for like 18 years thinking it was just a “fetish” and it will eventually stop. Meanwhile I was increasingly depressed of the fact that I wasn’t born a girl but also “surely is an obsession I can’t control” to the point that in retrospective doesn’t make a lot of sense. Let’s say trans people aren’t well perceived here (or represented) so, internalized transphobia did it’s part too. Was due an MLP Fanfic that I had to confront myself and it took me like another two or three years of internal conflict to accept that, in fact, if my three genie wished are “being born a girl” and the button press between “a billion” and “being a girl” were always the same and indeed it was not a very cis thing think, then I might be trans.

Now I’m utterly afraid of the process of HRT, its outcome (not passing) and the immediate social, physical and mental danger it poses nowadays.

But at least I know the root of all my anxiety, depression, and what later on learnt was called “dysphoria”.
