Yeah a lot of gym bros do it for vanity nowadays and the rise of steroid usage proves it. It’s disappointing to see the route mainstream fitness has taken nowadays but it was to be expected in a capitalist society.

People like to say “when you go to college/work you’ll find out how little high school issues matter” but what I see often is that those “meaningless problems” have huge impacts on people years later. I’ve known people who still talk about getting bullied well into their adulthood.

The Gal Gadot hype in the 2010’s was always overdone. Reviews of Wonder Woman at the time noted her lack of acting skills and that the same lack of skills made it hard to take that Justice League movie seriously.

Rhea Ripley should have been Wonder Woman. Then again, she got lucky by avoiding that god awful anti-communist sequel.
