Summary

In Wayne County, Arab American precincts rejected Kamala Harris, with Biden receiving 82% of the vote in 2020 and Harris only 23% in 2024.

Trump’s outreach to Arab American and Muslim communities, including visits to Dearborn and Hamtramck, contributed to his increased support.

Harris’s performance in Dearborn, where she received only 13% of the vote in the south end, reflects the backlash against Biden’s handling of foreign policy in the Middle East.

Um, a lot of these people voted for Red, accelerated genocide. It’s hard to find sympathy for that behavior.

A lot of these people did not vote red, they just didn’t vote blue. They found both parties advocating genocide incompatible with them.

Hopefully you will never understand what it’s like to have to choose between two political parties that both want you dead. As a gay man I know that reality, and fully support their choice to not go with blue genocide over red genocide.

Yeah it sucks having a two party system. Not voting, or not voting blue allowed a party that’s more motivated in killing you. Yay. I really hope you don’t end up in a camp or worse.

I’ll feel bad, along with when they come for all the other immigrant groups who voted for Trump, and eventually for the rest of us.

Now is the time to build coalitions, and work together to confront what is coming.

We keep talking about how to “get through” to voters…

Well, cold reality is a very effective tool, and many people will be regretting their choices in the coming days. We’d be stupid to turn them away instead of showing them we believe in the same core values.

True! All these people so quick to watch those most in danger get carried off knowing they can blend into the fascism state thats coming. It’s crazy seeing it with my own eyes.

They’re not going to regret shit until an immigration officer with a military detachment is knocking on their doors.
