Stand with Dungeons & Dragons and Magic Workers Forming a Union!

The Dungeons & Dragons team and Studio X (Magic: The Gathering; Duel Masters) are forming a union! We are joining the ranks of United Wizards of the Coast - CWA (UWOTC-CWA) and following in the footsteps of the MTG Arena team’s landmark victory. We are asking Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro management to voluntarily recognize our unionvoluntarily recognize our union. You can encourage our management by signing this petition and sharing our campaign with your communities. Support from the Magic community was key to MTG Arena’s union win, and we hope to capture that same support for our union efforts. Why Are We Unionizing? We are the stewards of the games that we make, and we deserve to be treated with all the respect and dignity that entails. As the teams responsible for so much of Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast’s profits, we deserve the following and more: Fair wages, career progression, and job security: As our games are more successful than ever in the face of industry instability, we should be adequately compensated and protected to ensure we can continue our work for years to come. Remote work protections and sustainable workloads: We have been asked to do more work with less regard for our personal lives. Intensive crunch and forced RTO aren’t just bad for business. They hurt employees' families and communities, which in turn affects the work we can produce. Reliable and easily accessible healthcare: Wizards of the Coast employees and families should not have to worry about the quality of their healthcare. We wish to decrease the bureaucratic red tape around healthcare claims and provide reasonable deductibles and co-pays to our members. Protection against the encroachment of AI: Leadership, without regard for the desires of our teams, has pushed for adoption of LLMs and generative AI. This has to stop; our teams deserve a robust and enforceable AI policy that aligns with our goals and values. Full ownership of what we create outside of work: Our teams include some of the most brilliant, creative minds of the day. By not providing us with ownership of our non-Wizards work, Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro are stifling advancements in gaming and beyond.
