The thing with JP and why it still holds up so well is that it isn’t just cgi, it’s a blend of rubber costumes, animatronics and if I am remembering right even stop motion with cgi used to blend it all together.
There came a point where cgi got “good enough” that it supplanted practical effects entirely because it got so cheap to do.
i saw one for one of the other games (i think) where it refused to understand cortana isn’t human-colored despite being human-shaped
