So I’m looking for a book (or any kind of resource, documentary, essay, speech, etc.) that can bring someone who’s more interested in the woman question (in a liberal way right now) over to Marxism-Leninism. I see many people suggest origins of the family by Engels for this but I for one believe it to be not really suitable for a beginner, or most people not already with a basic understanding of Marxism. While I’m looking for a work that will function as the first step in someone’s radicalization. Imagine something along the lines of a revolutionary feminist version of the communist manifesto or blackshirts and the reds.
Kristen Ghodsee’s work is a great intro. Angela Davis’ Women, Race and Class was formative for me too. For more academic work, there is the Social Reproduction Theory (the book but also the discipline, of which Sylvia Federici is most prominent).
