4 of them were cops. 2/3rds of the firings. articles burying the lede like that piss me off.
That information is literally the first line in the article. And it’s completely relevant to the article that their civilian employees (who should also be held to a high standard of ethics) also abused Flock access.
it’s a buried lede in terms of impact - “4 cops & 2 staff fired” would hit harder, no?
It’s sort of weird that these people simply cannot get used to digital audit trails. It’s downright scary, though, to think that this is just the consequence of them continuing to do what they did before, but without audit.
In other words, they have probably been stalking people illegally for decades, but now they get caught.
