If they could stop filling each entry with 700 hours of crap filler there might be less work to do
I like deep lore filler! Some of the minigames are hell but nit every mini will appeal to everyone. They said they would make extra more optional except for key story beats, i just hope they don’t lock it behind a NG+.

Making them to quality with unique animations and voice lines for each character instead of just a cut n paste like in (s)NES is a lot more work. There are 7 characters to do this for. I’d imagine it’s a lot more than just stat boosts and skill trees.

Assume it’s something they’re doing just for the 3rd one. The way it’s described sounds kinda like FF X-2’s dress sphere system where they swap out outfits to change how the character works.

Me playing any videogame these days where skills are tied to equipment i’ll find the ugliest dookie dookie dogshit early on with a skill i really like and then every single thing i find after that is “better” but replaces the skill i like so i’m effectively playing a loot driven game unable to interact with the loot

I sorta assumed the remakes weren’t made for me, I tried playing the first part and got to the arena fight with the giant house before burning out. I haven’t touched a mainline FF game in 20 years though
Just the upcoming part 3. But if you refuse to play them I do recommend watching the Team Four Star parody. Just say there are bits in there that made it into remake - or at least it seemed like the devs gave nods to it.
