Gamer discovers the joy of playing a game not clogged to fuck with mods.
I love mods and i love no mods at all but I always find it an odd choice to cram a game with mods before even playing the original. When i first played morrowind, granted it was openmw, but I started with only a community patch to start with cos bugs arent fun and then slowly added what I felt were quality of life improvements as i was playing. Better icons, minor changes to systems, other quality of life addons until i basically made my own small modpack and finished the game with it.
Then upon replay its turbo overhaul sexy werwolf sex sexy sex mod until its not recognisable anymore. I made the mistake of modding daggerfall before even playing it and I didnt understand what I was even adding or if what i had added was breaking the game in some way cos i had nothing to compare it to

In fairness Daggerfall is broken out of the box so I think it matters less.
The mod Oblivion Lost for the original Stalker SOC is pretty good. It’s very much a “vanilla plus” type of mod, it doesn’t change too much of the game but it fixes some frustrations.
