Not sure about in North America - but Honda have largely become irrelevant here in Australia, falling so far behind Toyota, Mazda, Hyundai and Kia.

There is still a small, devoted fan-base (my wife included) who are brand loyal due to (perceived?) reliability - but man, it’s not doing so well in sales.

    • Perceived reliability? I had a 2011 Civic with over 200K, zero problems until I crashed. Then 2015, 188K when I also crashed. Now, 2019, 105K, no mechanical problems so far. I’ll try better to avoid another crash. 😏

They’re not even reliable. The 2018 gen Honda Civic has a known air conditioner problem. My brother got rid of his car after the third recall on the air conditioner and instability caused from it. Honda and Toyota decided that innovation and reliability weren’t for them anymore.
